• Alfred Dunhill (not to be confused with the tobacco
  
  company) designed luxury eyewear made by the
  
  Optyl company in Austria and Germany who also
  
  made other luxury designs by Dior and Carrera.
  
  This pair has finely embossed sides and a mottled
  
  inlay at the bridge and down the arms. It dates
  
  from 1983 as we have an ad showing the 6011
  
  (in another version) from April that year. Sadly,
  
  it appears from the Dunhill site, that they no
  
  longer make eyewear - perhaps due to the closure
  
  of Carrera/Optyl in Austria. NB: frame only marked
  
  down due to a couple of small spots on the inside
  
  of the right arm.
