• Art-Craft have been going since 1918, still
  
  based in the state of New York. This is a
  
  typical example of one of their mid-century
  
  frames - all aluminium two-tone matt and
  
  polished with incised line decoration. The
  
  lenses are dark - only 10% light transmission
  
  - but effective too, blocking out 99% uv light
  
  at 400nm - as good as any you can buy today,
  
  which is why we haven't had them changed.
  
  Frame marked down due a little wear on the
  
  edges, as aluminium is inclined to do.
