Although not marked as such, this is the NHS
model 524, made in the thousands from the 1950's
to the 1970's. This looks to be a 1960's pair with
the joints pinned front and sides. These were made
by different framemakers around Britain who
stamped their official identity mark into their own
frames with the National Health initials, this pair
bearing the mark NH ON. Due to this, all the 524s
despite meaning to be identical, have individual char-
acteristics - this pair a beautiful striped acetate
and not often seen, the cable arm ends. Not sure
if the lenses are original - you can keep them or fit
your own - but they have a 50% tint and are uv
protective. Can suit men or women.
