You may be wondering why we have included
this pair on our sports page, well it is because
the brand is steeped in sporting history. If you
didn't know, René Lacoste was a champion
tennis player in the 1920's, his wife Simone
a champion golfer and their daughter Catherine
a champion golfer too. The Alligator was René's
nickname on the court and before he started
the brand, he'd had an alligator emblem sewn into
his blazer. Later, when the brand was started in
the 1930's. it was the first time a logo was worn
on the outside of the clothing - so we've got him
to blame for this global adoration of the label.
We found this pair never worn, although the
lenses have very slight storage marks, hence the
9 rating. Trim and logos in gold metal to match
the brow bar.
