• The Carrera brand, born in Traun, Austria
  
  in 1953, took its name after the legendary
  
  Mexican automobile race, the Carrera Pan-
  
  American. At some point they merged with
  
  German company Optyl and despite special-
  
  ising in sports eyewear, throughout the 70's
  
  and 1980's made many of the top brands
  
  under licence, including Christian Dior,
  
  Playboy and Alfred Dunhill. This pair has a
  
  graphic of a boat on it and with its nautical
  
  colourway we're guessing for sailing, the
  
  original strap coming in handy so you don't
  
  lose them over the side. We say 'Never worn'
  
  as the 1980's price label is still on the arm -
  
  £22.50 - and the Polarisation sticker remains
  
  on the lenses. Although new, the lenses have
  
  some light wear all over from bad storage.
  
  Still very wearable though and vision is fine.
