In the early 1980's Americans rediscovered the
popular 1950's Ray-Ban Wayfarer and before
long, they were everywhere. B&L weren't slow
to capitalise on their success and in 1986 brought
out variations like this one and the Wayfarer II.
Street Neat was a range of popular styles like
the Wayfarer and Drifter given a coloured top
layer and matching arms. This pair commemorates
the 1992 Olympics and bears raised gold metal
logos on each arm showing USA and olympic rings.
The Street Neat pattern looks similar to aboriginal
bark paintings - but can't be sure. NB: although the
arm only says, Wayfarer, it is a Wayfarer II due to
its size.
