• Since 1932 Algha have been making quality
  
  gold frames here in London and they are still
  
  doing so today. This rimless style is a classic
  
  and was probably first made by them in the
  
  1930's and continued for years. This appears
  
  to be an early pair due to the type of plastics
  
  used for the nose pads and temple tips. The
  
  20 refers to the gold content, being 1/20 12k
  
  GF. Unusual to find as sunglasses - normally
  
  this expensive style is reserved for eyeglasses.
  
  The orginal owner must have been quite well off.
  
  The slightly upswept shape of the lenses would
  
  suggest that these were women's sunglasses.
