Pierre Cardin, his web site tells us, is one of the
five best known Frenchmen throughout the world
since 1960. (This was the year that he licensed
his own name as a brand, the first couturier to
do so.) The shape is very period, resembling
flower petals, the frilled dark edges created
using a groove that runs around the outer edge.
Clever technique that makes these flowers appear
to flutter in the breeze. NB: frame marked down
only due to PC logos on each arm having lost a
little of their silver colour.
