"Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, designer
of the Porsche 911 and grandson of the Porsche
founder, opened the Porsche Design Studio in 1972,
creating numerous classic men's accessories such
as watches, glasses and writing utensils, marketed
worldwide under the Porsche Design brand."
So says the PD web site. What they didn't say
was that these classic accessories sometimes
were made for women, like these very desirable
folding sunglasses made for PD by Carrera. (You
may know that Porsche had already collaborated
with Carrera in 1978 when they made the classic
911 driving sunglasses with the interchangeable
lenses.) This pair looks hardly used and is even
more rare to find in this condition. NB: We can
provide a small pouch to carry the sunglasses
when folded.
