Marché first appeared in 1966 when it was described as,
"...an exquisite design for an exquisite lens shape, flattering
and elegant ...a hidden hinge permits a sweeping, sculptured
top line...". It was a real departure for Ray-Ban that year as
this was a much flatter, wider design for women - a design
that framed the face rather than just the eyes. Ours is in
the same colourway as the catalogue, Whisper Silver, which
is a layer of pearlised silver over a smoky brown. Overall
it is in excellent condition, we've just marked down the
frame to an 8 due to some slight discolouration (from age)
in the pearl layer on the sides, hard to see in the photographs.
A very rare pair as it only appeared for a few seasons and
was nearly twice the price of a Wayfarer.
